first thrush. now a clogged milk duct & possibly mastitis.

Can my boobs have a break, please?

If you've never had a clogged milk duct (which I hadn't until the middle of the night last night) - pray that you never get one.

It's PAINFUL.

I'm just trying to feed my kid, for heaven sakes. Can I please return to the pain-free nursing days? I'd really appreciate it. :)

The things we do for our kiddos...hang in there! I have felt your pain, if you start with a fever and chills get on an antibiotic. It will clear it up in no time.

mastitis was the word i was looking for when i was telling you it was something different. I'm going to be such a good nurse.

I've never had good nursing either. Maybe it runs in the family. Only pain for me and breastmilk for the baby. Those people who don't have any problems need to keep their joy/comments to themselves...

I've had clogged milk ducts with both my kids. They are awful. What I find extremely helpful is doing what they call a pressure massage. It will usually heal from doing that within 24 hours. I'll call you and tell you how to do it.

I always get all of the above. Warm bags and Tylenol are your best friends. Massage the darn thing too. I know it is painful but it will help.
