I had a pretty awesome Friday & Saturday night this weekend.
It started on Friday with this absolutely amazing show – The Michael Jackson Cirque Du Soleil show at Mandalay Bay.
My mom and Sam are some of Michael’s biggest fans [I’m a big fan, myself] so my mom, two sisters & I were scheduled to go on Friday night. We bought tickets seven months ago and on Tuesday my mom realized she couldn’t find the tickets. To make a long story short . . . after hours and hours of being on the phone trying to recover the lost tickets only to find out that it was hopeless . . . my dad’s wonderful friend pulled through and since there were some tickets left still he comped us tickets which happened to be on the 3rd row eye level with the stage. It was FABULOUS! Such a great mix of classic Cirque stuff combined with total Michael Jackson style . . . it was great. It’s going to be a permanent show in Vegas in 2013. Can’t wait to see it again. [Ali ended up not being able to go . . . we missed you!] And Amanda, we also missed your Michael-Jackson-loving-self.
Saturday night was fabulous, too. It involved FRONT ROW tickets to the final night at the NFR [National Finals Rodeo]. My dad’s good friend had tickets for the entire week and his wife didn’t want to go anymore so he gave them to my dad who in turn gave Cowboy Wes an early Christmas present! Sam and her friend Stephanie came, too. It was a great night of bull riding, barrel racing, bareback riding, team roping, etc. We were so close we could have touched the horses. We’re pretty sure a chunk of horse poop flew up over the railing on to Sam. The only drawback of being right there is it is SMELLY! Holy cow! But what a great night out.
