25 days of Christmas
Wes' mom started the "25 days of Christmas" tradition years & years ago. I think it started when Alisha left for college . . . Doreen wanted to make sure she had some daily holiday cheer so she sent 25 gifts to her.
She kept the tradition going even after all of her kids got married. Each gift has a tag with a specific day you're supposed to open it. So from Dec. 1 - 25 we open one present each day.
By day 10, Nate is a master at opening presents. If he gets a few minutes alone by the tree, he tries to open as many as he can. And he's so excited to show Wes or I what he opened. I think the presents underneath have distracted him from pulling the actual tree over.
Christmas Day will be a blast with him. He will be our little helper opening gifts.
Thanks Robert & Doreen for the fun tradition!

I am so glad that Nate is enjoying this! Every year I say it is the last and then along come some grandkids that love it! What is a grandma to do????
Thanks for sharing!
Love,
MOM G
I want to be in your family! I want 24 presents before Christmas morning even comes!!! FUN!
Olivia LOVES opening the fun presents too! We have such great in-laws to do that for us!
It really is a fun tradition that we look forward to every Christmas. My kids have learned how to "share" the opportunity to open the presents...every third day! It also gets them motivated to get their chores done, because they can't open the present until everything is done!
Very fun!
Errr, we have had TWO nights and TWO days of the tree being up - they are awfully interested in the ornaments. But so far (crossing fingers) no breakage or falling over.
You are the one that gave me strength to give it a whirl without a gate or putting the tree in the kitchen again!
holy cow! what kind of things are in them?
That is a great idea! A lot of work for your mother-in-law, but a great tradition. I loved your Christmas card!!
