Georgia

We haven’t been to Georgia [where Wes grew up] since I was pregnant with Ryan.  For years, Southwest only flew to Birmingham, Alabama . . . not to Atlanta.  So for years we flew in to Birmingham for our lake trips.

But Wes’ good friend from college – Ryan Rea – was getting married the weekend we were scheduled to be out there anyway.  And Southwest finally opened its doors to the Atlanta airport.  So we flew in a day early.

Which means we got to be at Grandma & Grandpa G’s house.  We got to see Spencer and Leigh’s house.  We got to go to the wedding.  And it gave us a little time to adjust to the time zone before our week on the lake.

Grandma & Grandpa G. had a dinner they needed to be at on Saturday night [the night of the wedding] so they weren’t available to watch Nate & Ryan while we ran to the wedding.  Luckily Spencer & Leigh are AWESOME and within seconds offered to keep our kids.  We went over there for lunch and water fun and then they had them for the rest of the day and in to the night.  Nate & Ryan had a blast.  Nate informed me that Spence’s house is way cooler than ours.  I will agree.  They even hauled Nate & Ryan to a birthday party [luckily, Wes knew the dad of the boy whose party it was!].  Seriously Spencer & Leigh, you guys rock.
